The 168 grain is not the best for 308 in my rifle that likes 150 grain Bronze Point best. It depends on what your rifle shoots best, and not all rifles will like the same load. However, I've read 140 grain is best for most 7MMs, and I find that to be true in my experience with 7MM Mag, 280 and 7MM-08.
